How to find your paint code can be frustrating, let us help you!
The first step to order paint products is to determine what the color of your vehicle is. Colors have both a color CODE and color DESCRIPTION component. In our industry we use COLOR CODE as the primary identifier to correctly mix your paint.
Paint codes are typically located on a “Service Parts Identification” label/tag found somewhere on your vehicle. The problem is that manufacturers have not standardized WHERE the label can be found on your vehicle. Additionally color coding schemes vary significantly between manufacturers. Note that, in addition to color code, this ID label contains a lot of information about the manufacture of your vehicle. Finally, be aware that manufacturers are required to provide tire and load/weight information for each vehicle. This information is located on a separate label, typically on the inside of the driver’s door jam.
Use this page to locate the ID label which contains the paint code for your vehicle. Select a make/manufacturer from the dropdown list, then click on the ‘play’ button for a short 30-second video on where to look for your ID label, and to determine where on the label the paint code will be.
Find the Service Parts ID label on your vehicle using the information from the video. You can enter this code in the green “Click Here to Select Paint Code” button on the top of the homepage. You’ll then be able to select paint product(s) to purchase.
